 in August. Early '70s tinged baroque chamber pop\, with black sheep philos
 ophers\, time travelling hairdressers\, sixth form poetry\, '70s pornograp
 hy\, Swiss Army knives\, David Essex kisses\, faked Moon landings\, new be
 st friends\, long dead friends and more are to be found in the imaginative
  tunes of Mr Phelan. Joining Keiron vocals/guitar will be Jenny Brand clar
 inet/backing vocals\, Jack Hayter on pedal steel\, David Hackbrige Johnson
  on piano\, David Coomber on bass and Ian Button drums/backing vocals. Wit
 h shades of Kevin Ayers and Lou Reed\, a push of Go Kart Mozart\, a whispe
 r of Marc\, a squeeze of Super Furry Animals\, with a soupcon of Neil Hann

 ed itself into a unique sound. Expect to hear flashes of late 1960s Velvet
 s\, Jimmy Webb-esque wordplay and electrical guitar playing that has one f
 oot in the 1950s and the other very much in the now. The Darkwood features
