 aries of the genre. Although they might resemble an American string band\,
  complete with driving energy\, tight vocal harmonies and dazzling instrum
 ental interplay\, their vibrant\, transatlantic sound is deeply coloured b
 y their surroundings\; the striking natural and industrial landscapes of N
 orthern England.Since the release of their acclaimed debut album ‘Where 
 the Big Lamp Shines’ in 2022\, they’ve graced the stages of major UK f
 estivals including Glastonbury\, Cambridge Folk\, Moseley Folk\, Folk By T
 he Oak\, The Long Road\, and many more\, with international appearances fr
 om Portugal to the USA.Rupert Hughes (guitar) and Evan Davies (mandolin)\,
  write songs steeped in personal experience whilst drawing from a wide poo
 l of influences ranging from old-time to psychedelia. American-born fiddle
 r Niles Krieger and jazz bassist Sam Quintana add fiery instrumental skill
 s to the mix\, launching the band’s arrangements into the stratosphere.
