  die bis heute faszinieren: Der dänische Architekt und Designer Verner Pa
 nton (1926–1998) prägte das Design der Nachkriegszeit wie kaum ein ande
 rer. Sein Geburtstag jährt sich 2026 zum 100. Mal. Aus diesem Anlass widm
 et das Vitra Design Museum ihm eine große Ausstellung im Vitra Schaudepot
 \, die Pantons Schaffen in seiner ganzen Vielfalt zeigt – von ikonischen
  Entwürfen wie dem »Panton Chair« über Leuchten und Textildesigns bis 
 hin zu seiner wenig bekannten Architektur. Eine begehbare Rekonstruktion d
 er legendären »Fantasy Landscape« (1/8) 1970\, macht Pantons revolution
 äres Raumverständnis und den Aufbruchsgeist jener Zeit unmittelbar erfah
 rbar. Die Ausstellungsgestaltung verwandelt seine skulpturalen\, farbstark
 en Welten in ein immersives Erlebnis. Grundlage der Schau bildet die umfan
 greiche Verner Panton-Sammlung im Vitra Design Museum\, die zu den bedeute
 ndsten ihrer Art zählt und eine einzigartige Fülle von Objekten\, Zeichn
 ungen\, Modellen und Archivalien umfasst. Die Werkschau\, die in enger Zus
 ammenarbeit mit der Verner Panton Design AG entsteht\, lädt dazu ein\, ei
 nen großen Designer neu zu entdecken – zwischen Pop\, Utopie und organi

 \nHe made chairs float from the ceiling and created organic living landsca
 pes that continue to fascinate us today: the Danish architect and designer
  Verner Panton (1926–1998) shaped post-war design like few others. To ce
 lebrate the centenary of his birth\, the Vitra Design Museum will dedicate
  a major exhibition at the Vitra Schaudepot to Panton’s work. Showcasing
  the full breadth of his creative output – from iconic pieces like the 
 »Panton Chair« to his lighting and textile designs – it will also feat
 ure several of his little-known architectural projects. A walk-in reconstr
 uction of the legendary »Fantasy Landscape« (1/8) 1970\, brings Panton
 ’s revolutionary understanding of space and the spirit of the era vividl
 y to life. The exhibition design transforms his sculptural\, colour-rich w
 orlds into an immersive experience. The show is based on the extensive Ver
 ner Panton Collection at the Vitra Design Museum\, which is one of the mos
 t important of its kind and comprises a unique wealth of objects\, drawing
 s\, models and archival materials. The exhibition\, created in close colla
 boration with Verner Panton Design AG\, invites visitors to rediscover a v
 isionary designer – between Pop\, utopia\, and organic worlds of colour.
