 ts \nSlow Leaves\nSlow Leaves is the project of Winnipeg’s Grant Davids
 on. He writes songs about the vulnerability of being a human\, returning o
 ften to themes of love\, loss\, death\, connection\, loneliness\, family\,
  memory\, and time. His folk and psych-rock inclinations\, though rooted i
 n the tradition of former fingerpicking songwriters\, are unbound in today
 ’s post-genre landscape. “I don’t write sad songs\, I write lonely s
 ongs\,” he muses regarding his last record\, In Solitude\, For Company. 
 It’s within this honesty of expression that listeners have found comfort
  in knowing that none of us are truly alone in our thoughts\, that beauty 
 reveals itself in vulnerability\, that poetry lives in the most banal of m
 oments. He has been nominated for several Western Canadian Music Awards an
 d won Songwriter of the Year in 2022.\nOn his newest release and sixth Slo
 w Leaves album of new material\, The Ruins of Things Unfinished\, Davidson
  explores his thoughts on ambition and the long setting sun of a life dedi
 cated to art and family. “I’ve somehow made a career of self-perceived
  failure\,” he writes. “I’ve often reflected on whether that mindset
  fulfills its own prophecy: quite possibly. But I think at heart\, I’m n
 ot seeking greatness\, at least not outside my own little world. Or maybe 
 I’ve simply given up on misplaced ambitions. My ambition now is a life o
 f greatness in small spaces\, a private fame in close quarters\, a life so
  intimate it need only whisper its declarations of love and victory.” Th
 e Ruins of Things Unfinished comes out in May 2026 on Birthday Cake Record
 s and Make My Day in G/S/A and Benelux.\n \n \nThe Bishop Boys are a sin
 ger/songwriter duo from Windsor\, Ontario\, whose sound blends indie-rock 
 with jazz and R&B. Trademark unison vocals\, sharp lyricism\, and warm\, g
 uitar-driven arrangements carry songs about love\, heartbreak\, and nostal
 gia.\n Austin Di Pietro and Andrew Adoranti met in high school and starte
 d writing together almost immediately\, drawing on shared roots in jazz an
 d wide-ranging musical tastes. After five years developing their sound pri
 vately\, they expanded into a full 9-piece live band\, selling out venues 
 and playing festivals across Windsor-Essex.\n Their 2018 debut single "Mi
 ght Be Alright" and 2020 Pelee Island EP built out a catalogue of Canadia
 n indie-rock. When the pandemic shut down live shows\, they kept writing 
 — releasing singles in August 2020 and February 2021. The latter\, "Dark
  Days\," picked up attention from local and international media for its pa
 ndemic-era subject matter and video\, and landed in the top 100 of CBC Mus
 ic's Toyota Searchlight 2021 Contest out of more than 2\,400 entries.\n D
 i Pietro and Adoranti are also university-trained musicians and establishe
 d session players in Windsor\, working across various local projects and t
