SUMMARY:Binding Agents Presents: September Cookbook Club ft. WHAT TO COOK
WHEN YOU DON'T FEEL LIKE COOKING
LOCATION:St. Mary Magdalen de Pazzi Event Hall
DESCRIPTION:Join us for September Cookbook Club\, when we'll be exploring
the phenomenon that is Caroline Chambers! Writer of the #1 food and cookin
g Substack and New York Times bestselling cookbook author\, Caro is known
for creating recipes "with as few dishes\, ingredients\, and little fuss a
s possible."Guests are welcome to cook from either of Caroline's cookbooks
\, What to Cook When You Don't Feel Like Cooking (2024) or her new release
\, What to Cook When You Don't Feel Like Cooking: Make It Fast\, or an old
faithful "I guess I have to eat" dish from their own at-home repetoire. W
e'll gather in the basement hall at St. Mary Magdalen de Pazzi Church to e
at together and discuss weeknight cooking\, the pressure vs. pleasure of p
roducing meals for yourself and others\, and navigating the effort-to-resu
lts ratio in the kitchen.Cookbook Club is an potluck event where everyone
contributes a dish from the selected book. Here's how it works:1) You purc
hase your ticket(s) from this page\, with or without a copy of the book.*
(We highly encourage book sharing and use of libraries! You can also buy f
rom Bookshop.org\, which supports the shop and ships to your door.)*To inc
lude a book for shop pickup with your purchase\, select the discounted "Ti
cket + Book" option. You can then add the book to your cart after clicking
"Checkout." Books will be available for pickup at Binding Agents right aw
ay.2) One week before the event\, we'll send out a Google Doc with a set n
umber of slots per category by which the book is organized. Each person wi
ll claim a slot with the recipe of their choice. This ensures a good sprea
d and a cross-section of all the book has to offer.3) On event day\, you'l
l bring your dish to the venue\, prepared to feast. We'll talk about our e
xperience cooking and eating from the book\, and leave with lots of great
tips and new friends.Space is limited! If the event sells out\, please add
yourself to the waitlist. You'll be the first to know if spots become ava
ilable. To receive updates about future Cookbook Clubs (hosted monthly)—
make sure you're on our mailing list.About Cooking the BorderlandsCaroline
Chambers is a bestselling author and wildly popular Substack recipe devel
oper who famously doesn’t feel like cooking—and she’s built a whole
 brand on that premise. Her superpowers are eliminating unnecessary steps\;
minimizing dirty dishes\; and making dinnertime as simple\, stress-free\,
and fun as possible. While plenty of obstacles stand between you and a de
licious meal\, being short on time is probably the biggest one. This excit
ing follow-up cookbook is once again organized into three time-based chapt
ers. You’ll find recipes for 100 dinners\, all of which are complete mea
ls and can be made with no more than 30 minutes hands-on time in the kitch
 en—and yes\, that includes chopping\, marinating\, and all other prep!Ev
ery quick and easy recipe features Caro’s signature swaps\, riffs\, tips
\, and shortcuts to empower you to make these recipes work for you—not t
he other way around! You’ll also find special treasures throughout the bo
ok\, including anchor recipes you can spin into five different dishes\, su
ch as Smoky Black Beans\, and formula sidebars like Fried Rice Is Always N
ice (and Other Grains\, Too) so you can DIY your favorites.Plus\, helpful
back-of-book indexes allow you to search by both ingredient—useful when\
 , say\, you’ve got ground meat in the freezer—and occasion or mood—l
ike when you cannot be bothered to chop a single thing.ABOUT THE AUTHORCAR
OLINE CHAMBERS grew up in the kitchen on her mom’s hip\, learning how to
cook in their Winston-Salem\, North Carolina\, home. With experience as a
chef\, caterer\, and freelance recipe developer for a host of publication
s and brands\, she published her first cookbook in 2018\, Just Married. In
2020—at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic—Caro began sharing her re
cipes and connecting with home cooks on Instagram (@carochambers)\, and la
unched her newsletter\, What to Cook When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking\,
which flew to the top of the Substack charts. Her next cookbook\, bearing
the same title\, was published in 2024 and was an instant New York Times b
estseller. Caro lives in Carmel Valley\, California\, with her husband\, G
 eorge\, and their four sons\, Mattis\, Calum\, Cashel\, and Tavish—one o
f whom can almost always be found in the kitchen on her hip.\n\nBoletos: h
