  concert bringing together Japanese taiko\, shinobue bamboo flute and didg
 eridoo in a powerful cross-cultural performance at Northcote Social Club. 
 From Japan\, the concert welcomes two special guest artists: Nakagome Kent
 a from Taiko Performing Arts Ensemble KODO\, and Haruyoshi Tsumura from Mi
 yake Jima Geino Doshi Kai. Kenta brings the creative power and contemporar
 y energy of KODO\, shaped through years of international performance\, pow
 erful taiko solos\, composition and cross-genre collaboration. Haruyoshi c
 arries the living festival tradition of Miyake taiko from Miyake-jima\, a 
 powerful drumming style passed down through the Tsumura family and shared 
 internationally through performances and workshops. Alongside Ryuji Hamada
  from Taikoz in Sydney and Sanshi\, a Japanese didgeridoo artist based in 
 Perth\, Bento Beats creates a unique meeting of Japan and Australia throug
 h wood\, bamboo\, skin\, breath and rhythm. The evening opens with Hachijo
  Taiko Party\, a lively audience-participation taiko experience where ever
 yone is invited to join the rhythm before the main act begins. Northcote S
 ocial Club strives to create a safe space that everyone can enjoy.? Crowd
