 Oulu Two outstanding pianists. Two distinctive musical worlds. One shared 
 dialogue. Solo Piano Dialogues brings together two of the most compelling 
 voices in contemporary Nordic jazz piano. Estonian pianist and composer Ki
 rke Karja and Finnish pianist Tuomo Uusitalo first perform solo sets that 
 reveal their unique artistic identities before meeting in an improvised mu
 sical dialogue that can only happen in the moment. Kirke Karja is internat
 ionally recognised for her distinctive harmonic language\, fearless improv
 isation and genre-defying musical imagination. Equally at home in contempo
 rary composition\, jazz and experimental music\, she has collaborated exte
 nsively across Europe and has performed both her own music and major conce
 rt works\, including her Piano Concerto with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orc
 hestra. Tuomo Uusitalo is an internationally acclaimed pianist\, composer 
 and arranger whose career has taken him from Finland to New York's vibrant
  jazz scene and back to Helsinki. Having collaborated with leading interna
 tional jazz artists including Jimmy Cobb\, Billy Hart and Chris Cheek\, Uu
 sitalo is celebrated for his lyrical touch\, sophisticated swing and deepl
 y expressive improvisation. Together they create an evening where two indi
 vidual artistic voices meet in spontaneous conversation. A rare opportunit
 y to experience two remarkable improvisers in the intimate atmosphere and
