  introducing the word “Jack” as a fundamental term in the language of 
 this genre. In house music\, “Jack” refers to the characteristic dance
  style and the physical sensation of moving to the rhythm of the music. Th
 e song was a hit in Chicago’s nightclubs and soon after in Europe\, wher
