DESCRIPTION:<p>In den letzten Jahren hat sich der Einfluss der Geopolitik 
 auf die Wirtschaft stark verändert. Er ist volatiler und disruptiver gewo
 rden. Nicht nur Grosskonzerne\, sondern auch Mittelständler spüren heutz
 utage in vielen Ländern dieser Welt\, dass sich Faktoren wie knappe Resso
 urcen\, Energieschocks\, Kriege\, oder Zölle direkt oder indirekt auf ihr
 e Geschäfte auswirken.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Viele Firmen arbeiten gerade mit Ho
 chdruck daran\, ihre geopolitischen «Muskeln» zu entwickeln und die Resi
 lienz ihrer Wertketten zu stärken. So werden nicht nur neue Strategien en
 twickelt oder Szenarien durchgespielt\, sondern auch geopolitische Abteilu
 ngen geschaffen\, die sich mit diesen Fragen auseinandersetzen. &nbsp\;</p
 >\n<p>Daher wurde an der Universität St.Gallen das «Center for Geopoliti
 cs &amp\; Corporate Strategy» gegründet. Dabei arbeiten Professor:innen 
 aus den Disziplinen International Affairs\, International Economics\, Law 
 &amp\; Taxation\, Artificial Intelligence &amp\; Cybersecurity und Strateg
 ic Management zusammen. Dieser Kern wird ergänzt durch einen Kreis von we
 iteren Expert:innen.</p>\n<p>Die Auftaktveranstaltung findet am 24. Septem
 ber im SQUARE statt. Auf dem Programm stehen mehrere Workshops sowie eine 
 Podiumsdiskussion mit Dr. Peter Maurer (ehemaliger Präsident des Internat
 ionalen Komitees vom Roten Kreuz) und Alison Martin (CEO Life\, Health and
  Bank Distribution\, Zurich Insurance Group)\, moderiert von Prof. Dr. Chr
