DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening of music and conversation! Featuring bot
 h artists who knew Elliott and artists who grew up inspired by him\, this 
 benefit celebrates Elliott’s life and legacy in music. Half Waif\, Greg 
 Mendez\, Ida\, Jenny Toomey \\[Tsunami\\]\, Maisy Owen\, and Bill Santen 
 \\[Birddog\\] will play the songs that shaped them as musicians and songs 
 of their own influenced by Elliott’s. The benefit also includes a rememb
 rance of Elliott as a person\, with Franz Nicolay of the Hold Steady inter
 viewing Jamie Fisher\, author of the new biography Nobody Broke Your Heart
 .\n\nThis event is part of a series of concerts supporting causes that Ell
 iott cared about. All proceeds go to the SIMS Foundation\, which connects 
 musicians with mental-health resources\, and WIN\, which shelters homeless
  families. The benefit is independently produced and not sponsored by his 
 estate.\n\n\\-\n\nPublic Records aims to provide a safer space. We reject
