 nset Rubdown\, Moonface\, Swan Lake and Frog Eyes\, prolific songwriter an
 d musician Spencer Krug has begun releasing and touring music under his ow
 n name.\nFirst gaining attention in the mid-2000s as co-leader of Montreal
 ’s Wolf Parade\, and soon after as the voice and creative force behind t
 he chaotic Sunset Rubdown\, Krug eventually turned to Moonface as an outle
 t for his more experimental and sporadic solo work.\nWhile he continues to
  perform with both Wolf Parade and Sunset Rubdown\, Krug has also found hi
 mself drawn toward something less rock-oriented — something quieter\, st
 ranger and more introspective. Returning to his first and favourite instru
 ment\, the piano\, he has ventured back into a world of pseudo-classical b
 alladeering\, poetic lyricism\, twisted pop sensibilities and jazz-inspire
 d experimentation.\nHe now releases solo work through his own label\, Pron
 ounced Kroog\, and tours a mix of new and older material as Spencer Krug.
