 n Block\, the company that launched Desert Daze + Moon Block Party. Octobe
 r 23-25 in Downtown Pomona @ The Glass House + The Haven.\n\nThe first Moo
 n Block Party happened in June of 2011\, in the arts colony of Pomona\, af
 ter Phil Pirrone moved back to the city where he was born. This came after
  being a touring musician since 2001. Pirrone and friends pulled together 
 every favor they could\, “borrowing” a PA from Guitar Center\, renting
  a generator and stage from Perry Tollett of The Glass House\; the inaugur
 al DIY event brought 55 bands across 5 stages and drew nearly 5\,000 peopl
 e. Then the desert called and Desert Daze was born during the very first d
 ouble Coachella weekend at a roadhouse in Desert Hot Springs in 2012. Sinc
 e then\, Desert Daze has become one of the world's most beloved festivals
 \, hosting Tame Impala\, King Gizzard\, Khruangbin\, Beach House\, The Mar
 ias\, Iggy Pop\, My Bloody Valentine\, Wu Tang Clan\, Ween\, Devo\, Death 
 Grips\, Spiritualized\, IDLES\, Stereolab\, Viagra Boys\, and many more. W
 hispers of the festival returning in 2027 are circulating. During its hiat
 us\, Moon Block has provided consulting\, creative direction\, and talent 
 buying services for various clients: Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown\, he
 lping launch Farm House Collective in Riverside\, and new Seattle venue-ba
