Before the age of electricity\, peo ple lived with a heightened sensitivity to sound\, shadow\, wind\, and the quiet beauty found in everyday life. Through Tokiwazu\, dance\, Japanese painting\, and cuisine\, this evening offers a multi-sensory experience of the Japanese aesthetic that has been passed down through generations. A Special Ev ening at Kenchoji Temple After Visiting Hours This event will take place a t Ryuo-den Hall after regular visiting hours\, when the temple grounds hav e grown quiet and daytime visitors have departed. Guests will experience K enchoji Temple in an atmosphere entirely different from the daytime—a ra re evening setting in which the architecture\, garden\, shadows\, and sile nce reveal a deeper beauty. Traditional Japanese Painting Works by Japanes e painter Masatsugu Ito\, known for his fusuma-e sliding-door paintings\, will be exhibited during the event. The paintings will be softly illuminat ed\, allowing them to emerge gently from the darkness. Guests will also ha ve the opportunity to hear directly from the artist about his work\, his c reative process\, and the world of Japanese painting. Tokiwazu-Traditional Kabuki Music and Dance Tokiwazu is a traditional form of Japanese narrati ve music that developed during the Edo period and became an important part of Kabuki theatre\, particularly as an accompaniment to dance. The evenin g will feature a live Tokiwazu performance with traditional dance. Toward the end of the event\, Japanese painting\, Tokiwazu\, and dance will come together in a special performance\, creating a powerful harmony of sound\, movement\, and visual art. Through this artistic expression\, passed down from the Edo period to the present day\, guests will experience a uniquel y Japanese sense of emotion\, elegance\, and beauty.
