      Embark on a musical voyage with NEREID on the 3rd of October!  Compo
 sed of four singing friends – Eloïne\, Sofie\, Lara and Esther – NERE
 ID is a Belgian female a cappella quartet dedicated to exploring the beaut
 y of four-part harmonies through a repertoire that bridges countries\, cul
 tures\, and eras.     In A European Tapestry\, the quartet weaves togethe
 r masterpieces of the classical repertoire and traditional songs from acro
 ss the continent. France and Germany are represented by the timeless voice
 s of Francis Poulenc and Robert Schumann\, while the folk heritage of Swed
 en\, Estonia\, Scotland\, Georgia\, Greece\, North Macedonia\, Portugal\, 
 Spain and Italy unfolds through lullabies\, poetic songs and traditional m
 elodies.     From the serene landscapes of Scandinavia to the warmth of t
 he Mediterranean\, through the Balkans and the Caucasus\, this programme i
 nvites audiences to discover the many colours of Europe&#039\;s musical tr
 aditions. Though diverse in language and style\, these works are united by
  universal themes: love\, family\, spirituality\, contemplation\, friendsh
 ip and human connection.     The programme includes selections from Poule
 nc&#039\;s Quatre Petites Prières de Saint François d’Assise rearrange
 d for female voices\, two pieces from Schumann&#039\;s Romanzen für Fraue
 nstimmen\, and a collection of folk-inspired pieces that range from medita
 tive lullabies and lyrical poems to vibrant traditional songs.     Throug
 h the intimacy of the unaccompanied human voice\, NEREID will weave togeth
 er the shared stories that connect European cultures across borders and ge
