They'\;ll be joine d by Felix Bird and his band. Beth Torrance is the penner of wry and disar ming songs about connection to people and place - songs that feel like ins tant classics. Her music brings to mind the sensitivities and sensibilitie s of Snail Mail\, the Beths\, Fazerdaze\, the Stone Roses and Pixies (arti sts to whom she'\;s often compared). The Garden Party are a taut\, tra nscendent power trio\, impressing all and sundry with their intoxicating s lew of sublime hooks\, bittersweet melodic sensibilities\, sparkling and g ritty guitars\, and a rhythm section that kicks you in the teeth. They con jure the amphetamine ache of swingin'\; sixties art rock\, the heady r ush of early nineties fuzz pop\, and-in their literary\, heartbreak lyrics -the post-post-millennial ennui of right now.
