DESCRIPTION:Lithic Breathing is a one night-only performance that will expl
 ore Los Angeles’s pipe organs and sea caves\, and the ways they can expa
 nd and entangle our thinking about listening and resonance\, deep time and
  sense of place. \n\nJulia Edith Rigby will premiere her newest work on Th
 e Great Organs at FCCLA\, one of the largest pipe organs in the world. Imp
 rovising with her will be Kafele Williams on trumpet.\nThis will be a work
  of experimental music / sound art that blends live instrumentation (pipe 
 organ\, viola and trumpet)\, video art\, and field recordings to tell stor
 ies about planetary histories\, deep time\, and hearing the un-hearable. 
 \n\nThe performance will interweave live instrumentation with geological f
 ield recordings from local sea caves\, opening our ears and minds to exper
 imental listening\, infrasonic worlds\, and musical soundscapes that explo
 re ancient landscapes.\n\nDoors are at 6:30 and the total run time is 1 ho
