DESCRIPTION:Praying Mantis are a well established band of melodic hard rock
 ers. They were formed by brothers Tino Troy and Chris Troy in the United K
 ingdom 1974 and they became one of the bands associated with the the NWOBH
 M (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal). Their first album 1981’s “Time Te
 lls No Lies” received a lot of critical acclaim.\nEngland’s Praying Ma
 ntis was one of the more melodic bands to emerge from the New Wave of Brit
 ish Heavy Metal scene. They combined a Thin Lizzy-style twin guitar approa
 ch with Def Leppard-like vocal harmonies\, resulting in a sound not unlike
  later-day Rainbow. their debut album\, Time Tells No Lies \, released in 
 1981\, then came “Throwing Shapes” (1984)\, “Predator in Disguise”
  (1991) or “Forever in Time” (1998) among many others\, but it was fro
 m 2013 onwards that the lineup stabilized to this day\, with great albums 
 like “Legacy” (2015)\, or their latest album to date “Defiance” (2
 024).\nDuring 2026-27\, the band will celebrate the 45th anniversary of 
 “Time Tells No Lies” with shows performing their acclaimed debut album
  in its entirety. They will also celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2027
