SUMMARY:Dark Matter presents Kill Your Boyfriend (IT) + Neu Oscuro (Sister
 9 Recordings)
LOCATION:Todmorden Golden Lion
DESCRIPTION:- KILL YOUR BOYFRIEND is a two-piece post-punk band formed in 2
011 in Treviso\, Italy. The first two albums were released by Italy-based
Shyrec\, as well as several singles and EPs\, including a 10" split with N
ew Candys in 2015 and “Elizabeth” a 7" Ltd on London-based Depths Reco
rds. The third album “Killadelica” and the fourth "Voodoo" were releas
ed via Sister9 Recordings(UK)\, Little Cloud Records(US) and Shryec. The b
and has been performing extensively across Europe\, UK and Russia opening
 for bands like Preoccupations\, The KVB\, ZU\, Zola Jesus\, Civil Civic\,
The Underground Youth and many other artists. The "Disco Kills" EP was crea
ted in 2024 with the idea of experimenting with new sound horizons more su
ited to the dancefloor than the rock'n'roll of the last album. So drum mac
hines and analog synths were overused. Three singles ("Obession"\, "Discre
tion" and "Youth") will be promoted before the official release of "Disco
Kills" through the English agency Big Mouth Publicity\, which will be foll
owed by an intense season of live shows throughout Europe.++++++++++++++NE
U OSCURO make their vinyl debut here with the deliciously dark and intense
'Desolation EP' — a five track offering featuring the singles 'Desolati
on Suits Me' and 'The Basterd Machines'. The digital download card include
d inside the vinyl packaging also includes access to the (previously unhea
rd) original full version of their much praised 2022 debut single\, 'Ragaz
za'.For the uninitiated\, Neu Oscuro was born out of friendship forged in
the dank Manchester underground music scene\, and with a range of continen
tal influences\, psych styles and dark post-punk vibes evident\, the band
’s sound is largely built upon the murkier side of frontman Rhys Bloodjo
y’s solo work.Together\, with Le Crowley (Astral Elevator) and the much
sought after David Sheffield (Bones Shake) both on percussive duties\, the
trio reveal a dangerous and bare-bones side to Bloodjoy’s already inten
se style of music—still utilising sophisticated loops\, but with the add
ition of primitive live drums and deep synth basslines.Exuding darkness an
d mystique\, Neu Oscuro have big plans for 2025 with the ‘Desolation EP
’ marking the start of their domination.\n\nBoletos: https://wegotticket
