  to describe Japanese superstar DJ Yousuke Yukimatsu. His handling of genr
 es and tracks would be downright problematic for most other DJs\, but Yuki
 matsu has an almost otherworldly ability to combine tracks from every corn
 er of the world and nail them straight to the dancefloor. His willingness 
 to take risks is unheard of\, and through his wild sets\, he turns unpredi
 ctability itself into the star of the show. What’s the next track going 
 to be? With Yukimatsu\, you never know — but no matter what it is\, it a
 lways fits perfectly\, whether it’s an Aerosmith track\, a hard-hitting 
 The Prodigy remix\, or a quiet\, minimalist piano composition.\n\nWhen You

 7\, anticipation is guaranteed to transform into collective ecstasy. The d
 ie-hard genre-mixer usually starts out wearing a shirt or t-shirt\, and as
  a manifestation of the intensity\, he always ends up bare-chested. Despit
 e what is otherwise a well-worn DJ move — throwing off the outer layer 
 — he manages to pull it off without seeming self-staged\, and that’s p
 recisely the essence of Yukimatsu. He is humble\, even as he puts on a fre
 nzied\, high-intensity show with himself and his eclectic musical taste at
  the center.\n\nBehind Yukimatsu’s career lies a story of defying advers
 ity and changing course in the shadow of a life-altering event. In 2016\, 
 he worked as a construction worker while DJing on the side and organizing 
 his Zone Unknown events. But a brain tumor diagnosis and the successful su
 rgery that followed opened up a new perspective on life\, and Yukimatsu de
 cided to quit his job and devote himself entirely to his CDJs and every mu
 sical genre on the planet. Since then\, he has conquered dancefloors and f
 estivals around the world. Most recently\, he tore down the Arena stage at
  Roskilde Festival this summer\, and he has\, of course\, also delivered o
