 26\, evoking the spirit of Iran's pre-revolutionary '70s music scene. Lead
  single “Azadeh” — a female given name meaning free spirit & indepen
 dence — nods to the “Woman Life Freedom” movement and the recent mas
 s uprisings in Iran\, with the artwork by Rana Fadavi emphasising their ur
 gency. Its follow-up "Sappho's Fragments" has aired on BBC Radio 6 and tot
 alled more than half a million streams since its release.\n\nFlowery\, kal
 eidoscopic and contemplative\, it’s like an old taping of Iran's beloved
  music show Rangarang brought back to life — with added DIY aesthetics a
 nd a certain indie flair. Fierce psychedelic guitars and flowing detuned s
 ynths infuse each track with emotion and nostalgia\, resulting in a debut 
 that's both rooted in Persian culture and distinctly modern.\n\nAfter a su
 ccessful UK tour earlier this year that included 5 sold-out shows\, Parviz
  will be back for the second leg of his Khorshid Khanoom Tour\, and will p
 lay at Rough Trade Liverpool on 19th November.\n\n**Wiffeney**\n\nWiffeney
  is the brainchild of two best friends: Grammy-nominated drummer and produ
