DESCRIPTION:In this class\, attendees will learn how to prepare their garde
 ns for both the winter and eventual spring as well as how to best optimize
  those long months in between.Ready or not\, the Minnesota gardening seaso
 n is coming to an end soon. In this class\, we will cover fall tasks such 
 as planting bulbs\, dividing perennials\, moving houseplants back inside\,
  and putting down grass seed. Then\, on to winter: this is the time to tak
 ean inventory of seeds and equipment\, clean and sharpen tools\, use plant
  catalogs and websites to plan for the upcoming spring\, and maybe even st
 art a few seeds. The joy of gardening doesn't need to end with the first f
 reeze!This class is developed and taught by the University of Minnesota Ex
 tension Master Gardener Volunteer Program. Ramsey County Garden Educators 
 are eager to share research-based gardening best practices that promote he
