DESCRIPTION:Join us for a night of discussion\, artmaking\, and activism. 
 This is the first in a returning series of events hosted to prioritise rac
 ialised and diaspora voices amongst growing anti-immigration sentiment. We
  are creating a space that is driven by and for our community\, so come al
 ong to hear more and help shape this space as it unfolds. ✨✨✨About t
 he night ✨✨✨🧵Crafts: We invite you to contribute to our collectiv
 e archive project. Our Archive Book explores Tower Hamlets and surrounding
  communities from an internal anti-colonial lens. Together\, we will be di
 scussing the book and the role of archives in building and preserving comm
 unity. We would love for you to add your own reflections and annotations t
 o the piece. 💬Discussion Topics: Archives\, People and Power ✊🏿

 *********************************************** In January of 2025 Skaped 
 launched We’re Here to Stay: Honouring Our Many Identities. The 5-week p
 rogramme was a response to the racist\, Islamophobic riots of August the p
 revious year\, as well as growing anti-immigration sentiment throughout th
 e country. After consulting our community on how they would best like to b
 e supported\, we designed a programme that honoured and celebrated the div
 erse heritages of East London\, with a panel talk\, film screening\, creat
 ive wellness\, and book club. We learned a lot from the experience\, devel
 oping ideas throughout and delving into the history of collective struggle
  and how we achieve liberation. Out of a desire to connect our community r
 eflection with wider struggles\, our series culminated in a community cele
 bration and fundraiser supporting causes in Sudan and Palestine. This year
  we are returning to the series as a long-running participant-driven progr
 amme. We want to create a lasting space we can gather\, make art\, and res
 pond to an -honestly exhausting- social\, and political landscape.\n\nBole
