 based studio\, BEAM NOIR have been developing a raw and chaotic brand of a
 lternative rock\, never shying away from unconventional influences or reco
 rding methods. Their boundary pushing approach has already earned them air
 play on BBC Radio 1 across four consecutive releases. Building on that mom
 entum\, the band travelled to South Wales to team up with acclaimed produc
 er Gethin Pearson (Kele\, JAWS\, Mallory Knox) to pull all of their inspir
 ations into the mix and create something entirely their own\, staying root
 ed in their alternative sound whilst channeling the spirit of their hometo
 wn. The result is a sound that balances huge melodic hooks with driving gu
 itars\, groove led rhythms and an openness to influences that stretch far 
 beyond alternative music. Rather than recreating the past\, BEAM NOIR wear
  those influences naturally. Their debut EP\, Petrichor\, captures a band 
 embracing change. Named after the smell that follows heavy rain\, the reco
 rd explores themes of self reflection\, growth and moving forward\, pairin
 g emotionally honest songwriting with choruses built to be shouted back fr
