 he opposite of bland. You don't need to be some kind of jazz expert to get
  into this! WORRIED ABOUT BEING A NEWBIE? Fear not. I'll be there to welco
 me you in. I'm around for a chat and to make you feel comfy - especially i
 f you've never been before. All the people who come are friendly too. It's
  casual and relaxed\, there's no dress-code and the gig's a great way to m
 eet new people (if you want to\, of course). It's one of those places wher
 e you could visit alone and still feel comfy. DON'T KNOW THE VENUE? If you
 've never been to The Barrel House before\, it's a lovely spot nestled ben
 eath the castle at the top of the High Street in Totnes. It has a long his
 tory in the region as a much-loved music venue and it has a regular progra
 mme of gigs by touring and local musicians and DJs. The Barrel House does 
 hot drinks and craft beers via the downstairs Totnes Brewing Co. On our se
 ssions\, you’re allowed to bring in food from takeaway joints nearby or 
 your own snacks! Unfortunately\, the Barrel House ballroom is upstairs and
