 DEVOTIONAL\, ELECTRONIC\, EXPERIMENTAL AND PSYCHEDELIC MUSIC.\n\nCurated a
 nd produced by the MaHalla team\, Sanctum of Sound takes place on the firs
 t Sunday of every month\, transforming MaHalla into a sanctuary of music a
 nd sound for 8 immersive hours. Dedicated to the art of creation and trans
 mission\, it offers a space for deep listening and sonic exploration.\n\nT
 he next edition unfolds on Sunday\, October 4th\, from 2 PM to 10 PM\, fea
 turing performances by Stegonaute\, Music Ashram\, Yula\, Lorenzo Mena\, a
 nd Toxido Mask.\n\n_________________________________________\n\n2PM: Yula
 \n\nYula (Yael Lavie) is a Berlin-based composer\, qanun player rooted in 
 Middle Eastern musical traditions and contemporary sound. She studied at t
 he Jerusalem Academy of Music in the Arab Music Department\, and alongside
  her studies learned Andalusian music with master Nino Bitton.\n\nShe cond
 ucts deep listening experiences where the ancient music of the kanun meets
  delicate electronics\, inviting audiences to pause\, breathe and journey 
 inwards. A rare qanun player\, her unique compositions combine maqam tradi
 tions\, ambient\, experimental\, jazz and electronic music. As she builds 
 each set live using a qanun\, drummachine and multi-delay effects\, listen
 ers travel with her through a space that is intimate\,expansive and emotio
 nal.\n\nYula has released two albums on the French label Akuphone — a so
 lo album and an album with her trio Leviot. She has performed internationa
 lly across Europe and Morocco\, including at Fusion Festival\, Andalusian 
 Atlantics Festival in Essaouira and Convivencia Festival in France\, as we
 ll as with the Andalusian Orchestra.\n\n\n3PM: Lorenzo Mena\n\nOriginally 
 from Madrid\, Spain\, and based in Berlin for the past seven years\, Loren
 zo Mena is a multi-instrumentalist\, composer\, producer and percussionist
  whose work moves across different territories of sound\, from acoustic pe
 rcussion and found objects to electronic music and ambient.\n\nFor this li
 ve set\, Mena explores the more atmospheric and expansive side of his work
 \, using synthesizers and organic samples to build slowly evolving texture
 s and vast\, cosmic soundscapes. Sounds emerge\, transform and dissolve\, 
 creating a continuous journey through space\, perception and deep listenin
 g.\n\nA live performance shaped by improvisation\, where each moment devel
 ops in real time and no two journeys are quite the same.\n\n\n5PM Music As
 hram\n\nThrough an interdisciplinary and cross-genre approach\, the Music 
 Ashram brings together a global ensemble of eclectic artists. In collabora
 tion with members of the ashram\, they are invited to create performances 
 and immersive spaces of sound\, image and light. \n\nWhilst the stage and 
 auditorium merge into one\, the audience is never merely listener and view
 er\, but always takes on a participatory role. Known for their long format
  concerts like the 12-hour performance URTICA at Garbicz Festival 2018 the
 y have performed in multiple stages around India and Europe. For the last 
 edition of Sanctum of Sound this year they come to their home-base: MaHall
 a.\n\n\n7PM Stegonaute\n\nStegonaute is a French musician and composer who
 se work lies at the intersection of ambient music and cinematic storytelli
 ng. Based in the Vercors mountains\, he develops a sensitive approach to s
 ound\, shaped by his environment\, as well as themes of memory and fragili
 ty.\n\nTrained in film scoring at the conservatory\, he conceives his piec
 es as “music for unseen films”\, blending synthesizers\, cassette play
 ers\, Nintendo consoles and archival recordings. He has composed original 
 scores for documentaries broadcast on France Télévisions between 2023 an
 d 2025. His first album was released in 2024 on the American label Mystery
  Circles.\n\nOn stage\, he presents immersive performances that move betwe
 en improvisation and composition. The project has developed internationall
 y\, with concerts in the UK\, Italy\, Denmark and Luxembourg\, as well as 
 a performance at La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris. He has collaborated with art
 ists such as Priscilla Ahn (Studio Ghibli)\, Craig Walker (Archive)\, Jose
 ph Chedid\, Robot Koch and Alcest.\n\n\n9PM Toxido Mask\n\nToxido blends s
 onic alchemy with a sharp\, intuitive touch\, crafting auditory experience
 s that pulse with intensity and complexity. Toxido crafts immersive sounds
 capes that transcend the ordinary\, sculpting worlds where texture\, energ
 y\, and precision collide. \n\nA master of both live performance and studi
 o creation\, her work spans from the weightless and atmospheric to the int
 ense and driving\, seamlessly moving between ambient\, halftime and techno
 . With a background in sound design\, she approaches each project with met
 iculous attention to detail\, shaping every moment into a sensory experien
 ce that lingers long after the sound fades. Her sonic universe is one of d
 epth\, intricacy\, and relentless exploration - where every track is a jou
 rney and every mix an invitation to lose yourself in the unknown. \n\nAs a
  resident at Tresor Berlin and curator of the 'OMM Transmission' podcast a
 nd event series\, Toxido continues to push the boundaries of what's possib
