 s of a Minneapolis thrift shop. Vocalist/guitarist\n\nKathy Callahan (she/
 her) and co-worker Nadirah McGill (they/them) spent their days sharing\n\n
 dreams and building a friendship amongst racks of forgotten treasures. Whe
 n Kathy confided\n\nher desire to sing in a band\, it set off a groundswel
 l of events: Nadi grabbed a pair of\n\ndrumsticks\, and the two invited mi
 ddle school friend Natalie Klemond (she/her) to join on bass.\n\nTwo years
  of relentless gigging followed\, and earned Gully Boys the Best New Band 
 crown by\n\ntheir local Minneapolis City Pages in 2018\, shortly after the
  release of their debut demo\n\ncollection\, Not So Brave. Their anticipat
 ed follow-up EP\, Phony\, arrived in late 2019\, just months\n\nbefore the
  live music world came to a halt. Inspired by this break in the action\, t
 he band added\n\nlead guitarist Mariah Mercedes (they/them)\, and worked w
 ith producer Zach Zurn at Carpet\n\nBooth Studio to release their Favorite
  Son EP (2021) and standout singles “See You See”\n\n(2022) and “Opt
 imist” (2023).\n\nGrounded in a bond as fierce as their sound\, Gully Bo
 ys’ electrifying live performances have\n\nearned them spots on SXSW sta
 ges\, Audiotree sessions\, and tours alongside Nova Twins\,\n\nMotion City
