 tures performances by Bhanu Kapil and Edka Jarząb alongside work develope
 d by Field Studies participants with the artists during the first day of t
 he residency.\n\n**Bhanu Kapil: Desires & Practices / Daal**\n\nDrawing fr
 om Desires & Practices\, a body of protocols developed across twenty-five 
 years of teaching\, Bhanu Kapil invites the Field Studies participants to 
 develop short works\, thinking and responses alongside the collective cook
 ing of daal. The evening opens this process to the public\, gathering arou
 nd the table to share food alongside performances and work developed durin
 g the day.\n\n**About Present Tense**\n\nPresent Tense is a five-day teach
 ing residency led by a group of international artists and practitioners th
 at approaches performance not as the culmination of solitary practice\, bu
 t as a form of group research and collective practice. Public events in th
 is series feature performances by artists and tutors who develop new work 
 with the students during the days. Access to daytime artists‘ talks and
