DESCRIPTION:Mini Music Department is a concert and performance series in c
 ooperation with and as part of SPARTA's program at the Kunstakademie Düss
 eldorf\, which explores the junctures of visual art and music. It was foun
 ded in 2022 by Dominik Schmitt and Kendra Katharina Witzel. The program fo
 cuses on artistic positions that work with music or integrate music into t
 heir artistic practice. Mini Music Department is interested in sonic-exper
 imental positions\, which often work intermedially and explore and investi
 gate interstices and adjacent fields.\n\nZwischen Altbier\, Kopfsteinpflas
 ter und dem pulsierenden Leben der Altstadt hat sich auf der Ratinger Stra
 ße eine echte Kultadresse etabliert. Unweit des berühmten Ratinger Hofs 
 befindet sich eine der traditionsreichsten Anlaufstellen für Freunde hoch
 prozentiger Spezialitäten: der älteste Schnapsausschank Düsseldorfs. Se
 it den 1950er-Jahren wird hier eingeschenkt\, was das Herz von Schnapslieb
 haberinnen und Schnapsliebhabern höherschlagen lässt. Über die Jahrzehn
 te hinweg entwickelte sich das Lokal zu einem beliebten Treffpunkt für di
 e unterschiedlichsten Menschen – von Kreativen und Studierenden über Mu
 siker bis hin zu Nachtschwärmern\, die den Abend gerne etwas länger ausk
