DESCRIPTION:William Basinski is a classically trained musician and composer
  who has been working in experimental media for over 40 years in NYC and L
 os Angeles. Employing obsolete technology and analogue tape loops\, his ha
 unting and melancholy soundscapes explore the temporal nature of life and 
 resound with the reverberations of memory and the mystery of time. \n\nCha
 ntal Michelle is a composer and interdisciplinary artist whose work engage
 s the spatial\, tactile\, and perceptual dimensions of sound. Her projects
  include site-responsive installations\, hand-blown glass instruments\, co
 nceptual scores\, and recorded works. Her latest album\, All THINGS MIGHT 
 SPILL (Shelter Press\, 2026)\, stretches time into tense\, long-held tones
  and clear melodic lines that resolve into suspended\, dynamic soundscapes
 .\n\nDURATIONS Festival is a week-long\, multi-disciplinary exploration of
  sound and connection. Now in its fifth iteration\, the festival’s progr
 amming is its most robust yet\, with seven days of music\, talks\, audiovi
 sual work taking place between Public Records\, Pioneer Works\, Roulette\,
  and Whitney Museum of American Art.\n\n-\n\nPublic Records aims to provid
 e a safer space. We reject all forms of discrimination\, including racism
