DESCRIPTION:Who doesn't admire the elegance of an orchid? These plants are 
 truly nature's intricate treasures. In this hour and. Half class\, you'll 
 learn the basics of keeping your orchid happy and blooming.   \n     
                             \nOrchids can thrive in almost a
 ny glass vase as long as the roots are visible. Being able to see the enti
 re plant makes it easier to ensure every part of your orchid is thriving. 
 Some orchids even photosynthesize through their roots\, encouraging growth
  and flowering.\n                           \n         
                     \n \n \nRepotting is essential not just fo
 r maintaining root health but also for improving it. After you have new ba
 rk and you have all new growing medium you will not need to repot for at l
 east two years. Foraging for orchid bark is also something that we can do
  here in Canada.  I will show you which trees have bark that is suitable 
 for orchids and also how to prepare this bark so that it is a growing medi
 um. \n \n \n \n                     \nHere at Sammie's in M
 arda Loop we are a bunch of artists that are working together to teach you
  how to tap into your creative side.  We have a range of classes and expe
 riences for you to learn from.  We’re so excited to bring a new artists
  corner to the Marda Loop community. \nOne glass vase and potting medium 
 of fir bark\, sphagnum moss and cotton will be provided. It's recommended 
 to bring your own orchid from home\, but if you don't have one\, dormant o
 rchids in various sizes will be available for $20-$45. You can also bring 
 your own vase or pick one from the selection provided. Extra materials wil
 l be available for purchase if you have other orchids at home that need ca
 re.\nthis class will take you approximately an hour and a half.  Doors op
 en at 5:30pm and we will be working on our orchid until 9:30pm.  So no ru
 sh to get there at open.  Please feel free to join us when it is convenie
 nt for you. \nWe’ll have plenty of nibblies and snacks\, along with a s
 election of curated cocktails and local beers to enjoy. Snack boards can b
 e purchased with your tickets\, and cocktails will be available all night.
