 e serious. Theresa Stroetges—aka Golden Diskó Ship—offers a counter-n
 arrative to this trend. Her music is rich\, colorful\, and teeming with me
 lodies. Stroetges loves intricate vocal harmonies that soar to dizzying he
 ights. While many others shy away from opulence and melodically rich compl
 exity\, she places these very qualities center stage. Yet\, the consistent
 ly upbeat mood of her driving\, high-energy pop has a dual nature\; for th
 e artist\, it serves as a coping mechanism in the face of the multiple cri
 ses defining our times. Lyrically\, Golden Diskó Ship’s new songs grapp
 le with themes such as societal regression and fantasies of escape.\n\nIn 
 her live sets\, Golden Diskó Ship presents a simmering blend of Krautrock
 \, cinematic club music\, 80s pop\, and disco. Intricate rhythms and sophi
 sticated arrangements are slipped to the audience with a smile. Seamlessly
  switching between instruments\, the multi-instrumentalist handles guitar

 ula Reissig transforms the musical program into a multimedia performance t
 hrough her visuals. She has developed a digital remixing tool—which she

 ó Ship. Her work uses abstract objects to visualize individual musical el
 ements\, allowing the songs to be visually remixed without any prior music
