  Minjoon Kim Quintet! Auckland bass player Minjoon Kim presents his compos
 itions drawing inspiration from his cultural background and heritage\, as 
 well as great modern day composers such as Immanuel Wilkins\, Ben Wendel a
 nd Noah Preminger. Minjoon has put together a colossal band comprising of 
 internationally acclaimed musicians: saxophonist Iggy Nama Ruci (Auckland)
 \, guitarist Theo Thompson (Wellington)\, pianist Lucas Kewell (Switzerlan
 d)\, and drummer Max Crook (Auckland). Minjoon leads this indispensable gr
 oup in an attempt to demonstrate musical conceptualization and evolving th
 e music in real time through intuition and communication using the foundat
 ional groundwork that his compositions provide. Saturday Oct 17 Doors 4:30
