DESCRIPTION:Bragolin is a Dutch dark wave/post-punk project led by Edwin va
 n der Velde\, known for its strong melodic hooks present on gothic dance f
 loors worldwide. Drawing from ’80s Bass VI lines\, ’60s and ’70s org
 ans\, and ’90s shoegaze guitars\, Bragolin blends vintage and modern ele
 ments into a sound inspired by post-apocalyptic and horror cinema. The pro
 ject takes its name from Italian painter Giovanni Bragolin\, famed for his
  “Crying Boy” paintings.\n\nThe debut album I Saw Nothing Good So I Le
 ft (2018) featured the track Into Those Woods\, which is now a modern- day
  dance floor classic. The song surpassed 10 million all-time streams in 20
 25\, establishing Bragolin as a consistent presence within the global dark
  wave and gothic scene. In 2019\, van der Velde collaborated with fellow D
 utch artist Adam Tristar on the second album Let Out The Noise Inside\, wh
 ich leaned further into electronic and synth-based production.\n\nIn 2026
 \, Bragolin releases the new album I Don’t Like What It Does To Me\, unf
 olding in gradually revealed chapters. Building on the project’s signatu
 re sound\, the record combines Bass VI melodies\, organ lines\, and rich a
 tmospheric production. Field recordings\, synthetic ocean textures\, water
 -phones\, and experimental sound sources create a layered\, immersive list
 ening experience. The album features Feel This Flame Unfold\, a duet with 
 dark wave artist Carrellee.\n\nCarrellee overlays delicately sensual vocal
 s over a wall of scorched synths and processed tapes. She had some help cr
 afting her noir synth-pop sound from co-producer Brett Bullion (Low\, Poli
 ça\, Bad Bad Hats.) Carrellee turned to the microKORG and Yamaha DX7 synt
 hs after finding the folk music she had been doing to fall a bit flat in e
 xpressing the intensity of the year\, including going through a divorce wi
