SUMMARY:Outside the Lines: THE NARRATOR\, Max Syedtollan
LOCATION:The Victoria
DESCRIPTION:nonclassical's newest Outside the Lines compilation album launc
hes with performances from two of the featured artists\, each of whom trea
d the blurry line between composition\, spoken word\, performance art and
electronic collage. It is sometimes absurd\, sometimes surreal. It is at t
imes plain-spoken\, at others appearing as if from behind a veil. It might
make you laugh\, but it is dead serious.\n\nTHE NARRATOR - the poem-shape
d storyteller and songbird\, and member of collective life is beautiful -
builds sounds around sentences.\n\nMax Syedtollan is joined by The Listeni
ng Project for a full-bodied performance of some of his weird\, amusing\,
convoluted\, traditional\, makeshift music.\n\nThis night and the full Out
side the Lines\, Vol. 8 compilation has been co-curated with Neil Luck\, a
composer and artist who attempts to frame the act of music making as some
thing curious\, or weird\, or useful\, or spectacular in and of itself.\n
\nThe full Outside The Lines\, Vol. 8 compilation will be available for pu
rchase (more than a week before its release date!) at the gig\, as limited
edition cassette and digital download.\n\nBoletos: https://dice.fm/event/
