 le.\n\nOn Friday 16th October\, Thieves Like Us brings together three peop
 le with deep roots in that world to talk about how it happened\, why it ma
 ttered\, and what came after.\n\nLauren Martin is a music journalist and f
 ormer Features Editor at DJ Mag. Her debut book Aftershock: The Seismic Im
 pact of Dubstep\, published by Velocity Press\, is the first definitive or
 al history of the genre\, built from interviews with 28 key figures includ
 ing Mala\, Skream\, Loefah\, Coki\, Kode9 and Horsepower Productions\, and
  told entirely in their own words.\n\nSilecta hosts the weekly Eclecticist
  show on the legendary Rinse FM\, plays genre-spanning DJ mixes\, and work
 s on a variety of documentary projects exploring the musical heritage of t
 he dub diaspora.\n\nBenny Ill of Horsepower Productions is one of the arch
 itects of the sound itself. Following the conversation\, he takes over the
  decks for a roots-of-dubstep DJ set featuring music from the moment befor
