  band of musicians. The Grand Magoozi is the kind of artist that is discov
 ered by word of mouth\, hand to hand in friend's record collections or thr
 ough a late-night radio show. Appearing almost out of nowhere in 2016\, Th
 e Grand Magoozi has gathered a devoted following along the way with songs 
 that seem to exist somewhere between American folk\, country\, indie\, jaz
 z and the broad Australian landscape. Tropic of Capricorn is the new album
 \, recorded live over three days with longtime musical friends at a rural 
 studio outside Melbourne with engineer Jesse Williams (Leah Senior\, Winte
 r McQuinn). Intimate\, spacious and full of stories\, the songs move throu
 gh loneliness\, love\, mortality\, time\, strange encounters and the pull 
 of the unknown. The Grand Magoozi returns to the stage to launch the relea
 se of her new album Tropic of Capricorn \, with special guests Ruth Parker
