 the legendary bIG*fLAME\, The GLF are the vehicle for Alan Brown’s uniqu
 e agitpop – that means five decades of uncommercial melody\, dis-chord\,
  rampant beat\, and earnest heart-on-me-sleeve peasant poetry …Special g
 uests are Peel favourites YEAH YEAH NOH. Originally famed for their sardon
 ic sideswipes such as ‘Bias Binding’ and ‘Cottage Industry’\, the 
 Leicester-based troupe soon went more into psych-pop with popular faves su
 ch as ‘Another Side to Mrs Quill’. Now they’re back … YYN Mk. 2 ar
 e a mix of everything for which front man Derek Hammond is rightly famed. 
 With lots of riffs and tunes. A new EP will be launched at the show.Then w
 e get to the fantastic noise-pop indie punks WANDERING SUMMER\, whose magn
 ificent new single ‘Mother’ is soon to be released as PRENEW 15 on Pre
 cious Recordings of London. Former Boyracer alumnus Ged McGurn and his Lee
 ds-based pals follow a path somewhere between his former band’s trademar
 k scratchy punk pop and more woozy Mercury Rev-style tunes. It’s all a b
