DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day of creativity\, connection\, and cultural le
 arning in this hands-on Indigenous beading workshop led by Natalie Ortiz. 
 Participants will learn how to create beautiful Beaded Flat Stitch Ojibway
  Flowers while exploring the rich traditions and teachings behind this int
 ricate art form. \nGuided step-by-step by Natalie\, guests will be introd
 uced to foundational beading techniques and design practices rooted in Ind
 igenous traditions. Whether you are completely new to beading or looking t
 o deepen your skills\, this welcoming workshop offers an opportunity to sl
 ow down\, learn through making\, and create a meaningful handmade piece to
  take home.\nRecommended for participants 16+. Includes all materials and 
 access to all current exhibitions. \nAbout the FacilitatorNatalie Ortiz is
  a Toronto-based Indigenous artist. Her work focuses on handmade jewelry\,
  moccasins\, and leatherwork. Natalie is Anishinaabe of Wauzhushk Onigum N
 ation and of Peruvian decent. Her art carries deep meaning connected to he
 r roots\, reflecting the traditions and teachings passed down through gene
 rations. She learned beading and moccasin-making through traditional teach
 ings. She has been making moccasins for five years\, and every pair is cra
 fted with intention\, meant to be worn and appreciated by anyone who conne
