DESCRIPTION:- Sam Davies is a pianist from East London with a love of taste
 ful improvisation and a deep appreciation of the jazz tradition. Known for
  his buoyant\, swinging touch and sensitive accompaniment\, he has worked 
 with many of the country’s leading jazz singers\, including Becky Alice
 \, Pete Horsfall\, Camille Rose\, Annie Majin\, and Immy Churchill.For thi
 s concert\, Sam will be joined by the incredible vocalist and songwriter G
 abrielle Stravelli.Gabrielle Stravelli brings soulful swing\, sharp lyrici
 sm and a deep connection to the American jazz and songbook tradition. Her 
 career has taken her around the world\, with recent highlights including a
  month-long tour of Europe and the UK\, culminating in her debut at the Ro
 yal Albert Hall’s Late Night Jazz series\, as well as debut appearances 
 at Carnegie Hall and Dizzy’s Club in New York. She has also recently tou
 red South America and held her fifth residency at Birdland Jazz Club.Gabri
 elle has collaborated with jazz pianist Fred Hersch\, most recently record
 ing his song cycle Suspended in Time\, and has toured the U.S. premiering 
 Abyssinian with Wynton Marsalis. As a U.S. State Department Jazz Ambassado
 r\, she has performed and taught throughout Eastern Europe\, the Middle Ea
