DESCRIPTION: Fall is for going fast\, and we'd like to see some of that sp
 eed you've been quietly building. On Friday\, October 23\, we're running a
  classic imperial mile (1609 metres\, for the metric crowd) from Sp'akw'us
  Feather Park along the paved bike path to a finish line by Junction Park.
 \nIt's flat\, it's short\, and for a town that usually measures runs in ve
 rtical metres\, a mile might be the most terrifying distance there is. Com
 e find out.\nAfterwards\, we're heading to House of Lager for suds\, buds 
 and snacks. You've earned it\, whether you ran a 5-minute mile or a 12-min

 s the best seat in the house.\nImportant: The Oceanfront Mile takes place 
 on an open bike path in the evening. By registering\, you acknowledge that
  you're responsible for your own safety\, including appropriate footwear\,
