It’s about working with and spotlighting local art ists\, musicians\, designers\, photographers and creatives\, bringing diff erent parts of Nottingham’s culture together and giving them a platform. \n\nAnd on Saturday 17 October\, we’re bringing all of that to life.\n\n LIVE MUSIC & DJs\nDUSTY 4 TRACK\n\nNottingham duo Dusty 4 Track bring toge ther Will Jeffery and Benjamin James\, creating their own distinctive take on alternative blues and folk.\n\nBuilt around storytelling\, bluesy riff s\, soulful musicianship and a sound made for a live room\, the duo have s pent years gigging across Nottingham.\n\nTheir debut album How Did I Get H ere? recently celebrated its vinyl release with a packed-out show at Rough Trade Nottingham.\n\nLeftLion editor Sophie Gargett described Will Jeffer y’s vocals as:\n\n“whiskey-and-honey soaked”\n\nThe band have been c ompared to Tom Waits\, C.W. Stoneking and J.J. Cale\, with their songs cre ating what LeftLion described as “arcane cinematic narratives”.\n\nFro m Metronome and Stay to the rip-roaring Get Down\, Dusty 4 Track bring gri t\, character and soul to the stage.\n\nWe’re incredibly excited to have them playing for the Family.\n\nLOUD PLANET RECORDS\n\nLVNDLXRD | JIMMY R OCKET | VANDAL SAVAGE\n\nRepresenting another side of Nottingham’s music scene is Loud Planet Records\, an independent Nottingham collective roote d in hip-hop and 140-influenced sounds.\n\nProducer LVNDLXRD has formed a long-running creative partnership with rapper and MC Jimmy Rocket\, with t he pair releasing music together since at least 2020.\n\nJimmy Rocket is a Nottingham rapper\, MC and DJ whose work crosses hip-hop\, rap and club m usic\, while Vandal Savage is a Nottingham MC known for his direct lyricis m and underground hip-hop output.\n\nTogether with LVNDLXRD\, expect beats \, bars and bass from three artists firmly rooted in Nottingham’s underg round.\n\nNOBODY\n\nOne of the night’s more mysterious acts.\n\nNobody h as been working with Notts Family behind the scenes\, providing unreleased music as the soundtrack to the brand’s videography and creative content .\n\nA Nottingham-born producer with bass music in his veins\, expect seri ous energy\, electronic rhythms and sounds drawing on 140\, dubstep and ju ngle influences.\n\nThis is a rare chance to hear some of the music that h as helped shape the sound of Notts Family\, brought out of the studio and into a live setting.\n\nHeavy. Built to hook you in.\n\nNobody is definitely not anybody.\n\nSJBRAVO\n\nWe’re blessed with a DJ set fro m one of Nottingham’s finest musicians.\n\nSJBravo is a producer\, DJ an d musician who’ll be guiding us through the night with the sounds of Fre nch house and beyond.\n\nExpect everything from Justice and Daft Punk to p lenty of unexpected turns along the way.\n\nFresh from smashing a set at R ough Trade Nottingham\, and one of the driving forces behind New Currents Festival\, SJBravo is firmly embedded in Nottingham’s independent music scene.\n\nA musician\, producer and selector with serious energy\, he’s a perfect addition to the Family.\n\nTHE NOTTS FAMILY POP-UP SHOP\n\nThe l aunch isn’t just about what’s happening on stage.\n\nThe clothes are a huge part of the night too.\n\nThe full Notts Family collection is availa ble to explore online now\, so you can browse the designs\, find your favo urites and get to know the collection before the launch.\n\nOn the night\, Laceworks will become a Notts Family pop-up shop and creative space\, wit h a selection of garments available to see up close\, try on and purchase. \n\nAs an independent project\, we won’t be bringing huge quantities of stock with us.\n\nThere will be limited garments available to buy and take home on the night\, but don’t worry if the design\, colour or size you want isn’t there.\n\nYou’ll be able to order anything from the full No tts Family collection at the event.\n\nThe garments bring together the pho tography\, design and Nottingham references that have shaped the project f rom the beginning.\n\nExpect pieces influenced by the city’s iconography \, architecture\, streets\, venues\, characters\, heritage and creative cu lture\, all reworked through the distinctive Notts Family style.\n\nSo hav e a browse before you arrive\, pick out your favourites and come and see N otts Family in the real world.\n\nPROJECTIONS\, LIGHTING & VIDEOGRAPHY\n\n Notts Family began with a camera\, so the visual side of the project is a major part of the launch.\n\nThroughout the night\, projections\, lighting \, photography and videography will transform Laceworks\, creating a const antly changing visual backdrop to the music\, performances and clothing.\n \nExpect imagery captured across Nottingham\, original Notts Family films and visuals projected throughout the venue.\n\nFour years of documenting t he city\, brought into one space.\n\nMusic and moving image have always go ne hand in hand for Notts Family\, with local artists providing the soundt rack to films and content created for the project.\n\nNobody’s unrelease d productions are one example of that collaboration\, and the launch bring s those worlds together in the same room.\n\nThe night itself will also be captured through photography and videography\, adding another chapter to the archive of Nottingham’s people\, places and culture that started Not ts Family in the first place.\n\nMusic.
