 d us from white spaces so we made our own in the houses and basements of B
 rixton. Big Up pioneers Pearl Alcock and Patrick Liverppol. In the 80’s 
 they didn’t like our music so we DJ’ed in the Market Tavern. In the 90
 ’s we founded our own spaces shaking our booty’s to Bashment at Pressu
 re Zone and Of the Hook\, and throwing our hands in the air to House Music
  in white promoted clubs Queer Nation and One Nation Under a Groove. In th
 e 2000’s we got radical and created spaces that spoke to our now. Enter 
 Caribana\, The BattyMama and the playful PDA. Along the way we made noise 
 at Pride with the People of Colour Tent and Black women carved out spaces 
 of their own at Sistamatic\, Shugs\, the Candy Bar and the Lesbian Beauty 
 Contest hosted by the incomparable Valerie Mason John AKA Queenie Featurin
 g words and inspiration from an intergenerational array of speakers interv
 iewed by veteran clubkid Topher Campbell. Come experience an installation 
 of moving image and photography\, music and real talk as we celebrate the 
 history and culture of Black Queer nightlife. We ask where are we now and
