DESCRIPTION:ZÖJ is an Australian experimental and intercultural music duo
  formed by Gelareh Pour (vocals\, kamancheh and qeychak) and Brian O’Dwy
 er (drums and percussion). Their music blends Persian musical traditions w
 ith a contemporary\, improvisational approach\, placing Persian poetry at 
 the heart of their work.  Through the dialogue between Gelareh’s express
 ive voice and virtuosic string playing and Brian’s rich rhythmic texture
 s\, ZÖJ creates music that is immersive\, sensitive and deeply original. 
  Having performed at major festivals across Australia and toured internati
 onally\, the duo has established itself as a distinctive voice in contempo
