 ter. Throughout their lives\, John Brown\, Moses Brown\, William Almy\, an
 d Samuel Slater worked to keep their businesses all in the family. Connect
 ing College Hill and Pawtucket\, this tour will feature the sites related 
 to these individuals and will show how kin networks were not just convenie
 nt\, but essential to the first generation of industrialists.Allison Horro
 cks is a public historian specializing in labor history\, who currently wo
 rks as a Park Ranger at Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park i
 n Pawtucket\, RI. Previously\, Horrocks worked at Lowell National Historic
 al Park and a number of other historic sites in New England. She earned he
 r Ph.D. in History at the University of Connecticut and is the co-author o
 f Dolls of Our Lives: Why We Can't Quit American Girl.The tour costs $15\,
