Parade brings together three acclaimed musicians\, Jiang Nan \, Louise Grévin\, and Ferdinand Doumerc\, in an unusual acoustic trio th at blends Chinese traditional music\, folk\, jazz\, and contemporary influ ences. Cello and the mysterious guzheng (Chinese zither) meet saxophone\, flute\, and metallophone to create a rich and distinctive sound world.
\nPrimarily based on compositions by Ferdinand Doumerc\, the trio’s r
epertoire leaves plenty of room for improvisation\, playful grooves\, and
moments of quiet intensity. Through a subtle interplay of timbres\, arrang
ements\, and storytelling\, Parade creates an intimate yet powerful musica
