DESCRIPTION:Simon Joyner is a renowned American singer-songwriter from Omah
 a\, Nebraska. He first came to prominence during the Lo-Fi movement of the
  early 90's alongside contemporaries mining similar territory like Will Ol
 dham\, Barbara Manning\, Peter Jefferies\, David Berman\, and Bill Callaha
 n. Joyner was championed by the late British DJ\, John Peel\, who famously
  played Joyner's 1994 LP\, The Cowardly Traveller Pays His Toll\, in its e
 ntirety on one of his BBC programs\, an event some journalists called "The
  Peel Incident." Bright Eyes\, Cut Worms\, and Lou Turner have covered his
  songs and Glenn Kotche played drums on his Chicago trilogy (the albums Ye
 sterday\, Tomorrow & In Between\, The Lousy Dance\, and Hotel Lives) befor
 e joining Wilco.\n\nFollowing the mercurial path of heroes like Lou Reed\,
  Neil Young\, and Bob Dylan\, Joyner has continued to release literate and
  challenging albums at a prolific rate over the course of over three decad
 es without managers\, publicists\, or major label support. His discography
  includes 19 proper albums including the new\, critically praised\, sprawl
