SUMMARY:Banquet Hall GRAND OPENING at Cult Classic Featuring Pressing Stri
ngs\, Kentavius Jones\, Daphne Eckman and Heartside
LOCATION:Banquet Hall Fully Seated
DESCRIPTION:Banquet HallGRAND OPENINGat Cult Classic Featuring Pressing St
rings\, Kentavius Jones\, Daphne Eckman and HeartsideAfter 8 years in oper
ation and thousands of live events\, Cult Classic Brewing is unveiling the
next chapter in their ever-expanding story. The live music venue with a br
ewing problem is opening the Banquet Hall\, a second live event space adja
cent to the listening room that has been operating for the last 7+ years.
The Banquet Hall more than triples the size of the current space and featu
res an in-room service bar so you never have to miss a moment of the show.
To celebrate the occasion\, Cult Classic will host a ribbon cutting before
the grand opening show on September 25th which will once again feature Pr
essing Strings\, who have amassed countless miles on national tours in the
7.5 years since they first graced the stage at Cult Classic. Joining the
trio is Kentavius Jones\, Daphne Eckman and Heartside\, all of whom have m
ade significant contributions in elevating the level of talent at Cult Cla
ssic\, all of Kent Island and Queen Anne’s County and throughout the Che
 sapeake Bay.PRESSING STRINGSHailing from Annapolis\, Maryland\, Pressing S
trings is a powerhouse trio–led by guitarist and vocalist Jordan Sokel
–has earned a loyal following with their genre bending blend of blues\,
rock\, and folk\, wrapped in soul-stirring storytelling and toe tapping gr
ooves. Their music resonates with the emotional grit of blues\, the laid b
ack swagger of folk\, and the urgency of modern rock.Whether delivering he
artfelt ballads or energetic anthems\, Pressing Strings weaves lyrical int
rospection and high-caliber musicianship that feels both fresh and familia
 r. Sokel’s smokey voice and intricate guitar work is complimented master
fully by a star rhythm section. Held down tightly by drummer Justin Kruger
–an energetic and charismatic performer whose style mirrors his outside
the box personality and unique approach to the instrument\, along with bas
sist Nick Welker–a solid and stoic figure who picks melodic lines and ch
ordal voicings that makes the trio sound full and lush. All three members
sing\, adding harmonies reminiscent of southern California in the 70’s.
Together they push the limits of what a trio can do and provide an immersi
ve\, feel-good vibe that hits the audience’s heart as hard as it does th
 e ears.https://pressingstrings.com/KENTAVIUS JONESKentavius Jones\, the bo
hemian beatbox\, is a combination of singer songwriter and soul with an in
die sensibility. Sam Pugh is a Cambridge\, MD based singer/songwriter blen
ding indie\, folk\, and pop into intimate\, cathartic songs. He is known f
or his work with the rock band Heartside\, who have toured the Mid-Atlanti
 c region.https://www.kentavius.com/DAPHNE ECKMANDaphne Eckman isn't sorry
about making you cry. In fact\, she encourages it. The Annapolis\, MD-base
d indie folk singer-songwriter creates an unapologetic space for catharsis
 : inspiring not just tears\, but compelling you to laugh\, sing\, scream\,
and dance\, too.Eckman’s five piece band devotes everything to emotion\
, drawing influences of Joni Mitchell\, Phoebe Bridgers\, Adrienne Lenker\
, and Radiohead through the filters of indie rock\, and pop-punk.https://w
 ww.daphneeckman.com/HeartsideVulnerable and earnest\, Heartside’s marria
ge between sweeping melodic textures and deeply confessional lyrics helped
propel the Maryland based combo to moderate success within the sphere of
East Coast emo-revival. Since their formation in 2015\, Heartside has buil
t and cultivated a dedicated fanbase\, evoking the influence of post-rock
giants Manchester Orchestra and Balance & Composure.https://www.facebook.c
