e to pay the cover price\, you can pay what you can at the door. No one tu
rned away for lack of funds. \n\nThere is no bar\, so please bring your ow
 n refreshments.\n\nThis edition features:\n\ntejploopare\n\ntejploopare us
es recorded sounds of nature from his home island in western Sweden. These
are processed using simple methods including changes in tape speed\, EQ a
nd level\, with subtle addition of delay and reverb via an effects loop. T
he use of tape and battery driven devices also adds the possibility of new
sounds through the failure of either or both.\n\n\n\nDistant Animals\n\nD
istant Animals (Daniel Alexander Hignell-Tully) blends performance art wit
h electronic and electro-acoustic composition\, built around specific soci
 o-political themes. His work explores ritual\, labour\, site\, and sense\,
unpicking the quiet fragments that link our communities together. Daniel
is a lecturer at Guildhall School of Music and Drama\, and runs the Diffic
ult Art and Music record label / small press\, as well as MEANS magazine a
nd the Art Is Still Honest research platform.\n\n\nMatt Atkins\n\nMatt Atk
ins is an improvising percussionist and sound/visual artist who uses elect
ronics\, objects and tape loops in his work which explores elements of min
imalism texture. He has released music on labels such as Falt\, Rusted Ton
 e Recordings\, Invisible City\, Whitelab Recs\, tsss tapes\, Coherent Stat
es\, Steep Gloss\, Flaming Pines\, Wabi Sabi Tapes\, Dasa Tapes and Chocol
ate Monk\, among others. Since 2006 he has run the label MRM recordings. I
n 2020 he began curating and presenting a show for CAMP radio called Auric
ular Shelter.\n\nHe has had two well received solo exhibitions of his pain
tings and drawings\, 'Eoliths' in 2022 and 'Channels' in 2024\, both at th
e Hundred Years Gallery. As with his music there is a fascination with and
exploration of texture\, minimalism and gesture\, with most of the painti
ngs and drawings being improvised.\n\nHe also plays drums in the criticall
 y acclaimed folk/doom band Crumbling Ghost.\n\n\nSnidefinder\n\nSnidefinde
r is the alias of Simon Williams and covers either a set up ranging from O
 rcutt/Jandek/Dead C-ish ragged\, shouty guitar songs\, often bunging the g
uitar through a looper to turn it into a noise sequencer\, or\, instrument
al / more abstract sets mixing in field recordings and other FX for sounds
capes and rhythmic blips n squeaks. Sometimes both.\n\nFor this Intox the
intention is (at the time of writing)\, to focus on using field recordings
rhythmically\, probably with guitar (depending on how much I will lug on
the Lizzie line) but blurring the difference between the two. There may be
some utterances along with this.\n\n\n\nSAFETY\n\nSome participants are a
t increased risk from Covid\, flu and other illnesses\, so if you are unwe
ll on the day\, rather than struggling to attend please contact the organi
sers for a replacement ticket for a future date.\n\nCurated by Martin Lau
