 rformer and internationally acclaimed storyteller and poet Baden Prince as
  he shares tales that celebrate his Caribbean heritage and honour grandmot
 hers everywhere.Baden spent his formative years in the care of his grandmo
 ther on Antigua\, before joining his parents in England at 15.His programm
 e\, titled 'What a Woman\,' debuted at the July\, 2026 Festival at the Edg
 e.Entertaining and informative\, humorous and dark\, expect elements of th
 e supernatural\, traditional Antiguan folk tales\, personal memories\, pat
 ios and poetry\, all painting a vivid picture of life in a vibrant 1960s C
 aribbean household - a life presided over by the indomitable matriarch\; M
 ama.Baden has been a part of London’s thriving Live Literature and Spoke
 n Word scene since the turn of the 21st century. Baden’s repertoire inco
 rporates “traditional” tales from the Caribbean and all over the world
 \, as well as original\, self-penned material. As a writer and performer B
 aden engages reader and audience with a style that is warm\, self-assured 
 and displays an entertaining blend of insight and humour. His accomplishme
 nts include performances at East Anglia's Storytelling Festival. He has se
 rved as Writer-in-Residence with the London Borough of Havering’s Librar
 y Service in 2003/4 and again in 2007/8. He has worked extensively in scho
 ols and community settings all over the country as a workshop facilitator 
 for organisations such as Apples & Snakes\, Hackney Learning Trust and Spr
 ead the Word\, on projects as diverse as the London Schools Poetry Slam\, 
 Linklaters Reading and Writing Challenge and New London Orchestra’s Musi
 c & Literacy Project.Hosted by Lynette Hill.With more stories from Pete Bo
 yce\, Stephen Hobbs and Lou Tribus.This event is intended for ages 16 and
