 ear the Birds?\, a deeply human project shaped by connection\, listening\,
  and emotional presence. Performed with her long standing trio\, bassist L
 evi Dover and drummer Mark Nelson\, the music unfolds as a shared experien
 ce rooted in trust\, intuition\, and collective expression.\nThe repertoir
 e draws from Gentiane’s fourth album\, Can You Hear the Birds?\, a fully
  realized and resonant artistic statement that marks a defining chapter in
  her career. The music explores connection in all its forms\, with others\
 , with nature\, with creativity itself\, and with parts of oneself still b
 eing discovered. Rather than telling specific stories\, the compositions c
 reate open emotional landscapes\, allowing listeners to move between turbu
 lence and calm\, vulnerability and strength\, grief and joy.\nWhile Gentia
 ne’s earlier work leaned inward\, this project turns outward\, embracing
  curiosity\, movement\, and light without denying emotional depth. The tri
 o works through an ear-based creative process rooted in listening rather t
 han intellectual construction\, giving the music a strong sense of immedia
 cy\, fluidity\, and lived experience. Group communication and improvisatio
 n are central to the performance\, shaping each concert as a living\, evol
 ving moment.\nGentiane MG last performed in Winnipeg as a part of the 2023
